MyWi 4.0 Keeps Crashing

So I jailbroke my 3G iphone using PwnageTool (ios4.1), then downloaded mywi 4.0. When I turn the wifi on, the application/phone crashes and reboots. I do not have any other tethering applications installed, and I have done a hard restore, re-jailbreak, re-installation of mywi and it still keeps crashing when I turn it on. Am I missing something here? I really want to tether this to my wifi ipad, so any help would be great (including some other apps that might solve the tethering issue).

In case anyone searching around for a solution to a similar problem, I solved mine by restoring to factory settings, downloading redsn0w, re-jailbreaking and re-installing. The app works perfectly now. I'm not sure why pwnagetool didn't work for me, but redsn0w did the trick and it was even easier to do. Hope this helps if you're stuck.
