I have a iphone 3gs, my home internet connection has been cut off and Its likely that it won't be turned back on in the near future. As a result I haven't been using my iPad much, and that hurts me. So I'm desperate to find another way to use wifi on my iPad (note that it is a wifi only iPad, and a iPad 3).

I've been looking into hotspots for my phone and I stumbled across this Mywi app for jailbroken iPhones. Apparently it's 20 dollars but there is no monthly fee. My big question is, has anyone used this and how well does it work? My second big question is, if I jailbreak my iPhone and get this mywi app, will I be able to connect my iPad 3 to this hotspot on my phone via wifi?

I have it and it works great! I use it just how you want to. I use it very sparingly as AT&T has a way of knowing when you are doing so and it's not in my current data plan (tethering that is)
