MyWi question with XP computer

My work computer is running XP. I can tether via MyWi if the phone is connected to the computer via a USB connection BUT...

I can not get it to work with out one. I have done the following:

* I made sure AdHoc was enabled at the NIC levelo
* The channel is 1..but I have tried others
* Rebooted both the phone and computer
* changed the DHCP settings

suggestions?

Are you saying your XP computer cannot connect to MyWi via WiFi?

Assuming you have a wireless NIC or adapter...
If so, it should be straight forward. Turn on wifi tethering in MyWi.
Go to XP computer, in your wireless app search for the SSID you set in MyWi and connect. Enter WEP password if you created one..

If that's not the issue, than my apologies..

I did all of that...my XP computer does not see the SSID...it sees others but not MyWi...which is mine....

Have you tried to connect manually to the SSID? Do that, enter the security settings you have for MyWi and see if it works then.
