Woa Woa Woa.
Usually when I tether I keep a very close eye on how much bandwidth I'm using.
Today, I got really bored and got on FB and played Tetris for 15 mins then looked at my MyWi tether. It says... 5409 MB of download and 5000 MB upload. I'm like... HOLY!!!

Could this be a glitch on MyWi?
If playing tetras on FB cost 5GB for 15mins, I'm pretty sure I would have passed 100GB limit on my home Internet service.

But I went to look at my phone general usage setting and it looks normal with 550MB instead of 5000MB.

Should I be really worry?

No I didn't have any torrents on or anything that uses Internet. All I was doing was logging on FB and played tetris.

Edit: Also, I checked the DATA text message, there's no update on it yet. It takes a day or two before it updates.

Did you have the MyWi wifi settings on WEP &/or short range? If not, somebody could have tapped on to your network.

It was bluetooth so only I can access it.

Whew.
I just checked my bill online to the most current up to date bill.
It says I only use 600MB out of 2000.
That's good... so it was just a glitch from MyWi.
Had me running scare for a minute there.

I've heard of ATT hammering down on people who tether and that if you use it too much they can automatically add a tether plan

Has anyone encountered this?

They warn you first. If you dont call them within a certian time, then they add it on.

So, before doing a little research (like you just did) first, you decided to make a thread on MR? Silly if you ask me.

Whenever I would get a phone call while using MyWi it would jump ton an insanely high number, turning tethering off/on would always get back to the right amount though
