As in the title, N H Y and 6 not working after replacing battery for my MacBook Pro 2016 model. I was very diligent in making sure everything was connected and even double checked after finding these keys not working.

Is there a repair I can do for this? What part would have possibly been damaged? A pic of that part would be great.

Thanks for the help.

I believe the keyboard is scanned in a column vs. line fashion, it seems one "column" (N-H-Y-6) is damaged. In the old days there used to be a separate IC for keyboard scanning. For the MBP 2016 I would guess that the T2-chip that handles the Touch Bar also handles keyboard scanning. But to be clear I do not know!

I own a 2016 MBP myself (15") and I believe these are not reparable parts. The keyboard is riveted to the top case. When I got a new keyboard to my 2016 the whole top case was replaced.

Sorry for not being able to help more.
