N.O.V.A 3 - Lag?

So just got nova 3 on my new iPad and well the frame rate ain't that great. How is it on the iPad 2? What's more annoying is that besides the framerate not being great and the game sometimes stuttering they also left out a lot of the visual bells and whistles found in the iPad 2 version, you can read about that here http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=473519

I've only played for about an hour but I've not encountered any problems, I have noticed an ever so slightly drop in frame rate in intense scenes but it's nothing. I've got an iPad 2 here as well so I'll have to give it a go later.

If you could compare the two that would be good.
It is playable and it is version 1.0 but still I did fell like it was struggling a bit too often.

So I've got the game on both the iPad 2 and New iPad and the framerate is the same on both. However, with the iPad 2, you notice things like when looking at lights there is like dirt on the screen, and on the New iPad, the light isn't even on.

EDIT: But I will say that even without those extra visual effects (like motion blur and depth of field), the New iPad verson with the retina graphics make the game look fantastically nicer.
