Okay, here's the situation: My library is about 16 GB. I have a 20 GB iPod, so I just automatically sync everything. If I want to delete something, I uncheck the track and it'll be removed next time I sync. No problem.

My mom wants to sync her 2 GB Nano with my library, but since it's only 2 GB I set it to "manually manage music" and told her to just drag songs from the library to copy them to her Nano. Then she asked me how to remove tracks from the iPod and I didn't have an answer.

Help?

In the left pane, select the iPod Nano, and you should see the list of all the songs you have put in the iPod.

Just select one and click delete.
