Apple's special event at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) show starts shortly at 11:00am PDT (2:00pm EDT, 6:00pm GMT). MacRumors.com will provide live coverage on MacRumorsLive.com. The main site will be redirected to the coverage site when the time comes.

LOL @Markelshark, seriously though I thought NAB was in 15 minutes from now (rather than 1h 15 minutes).

The "begins shortly" and the GMT time of 6pm through me off.

The GMT time appears wrong.

I live in the UK, Macrumors says that NAB starts at 6pm but because of daylight saving, it starts at 7pm.

hoping

im actually hoping that only the 17" mbp model gets updated. I plan to sell my MBP w/2gb for $1800 to a buddy on May 1st (so he's essentially getting student discount with 1gb free ram), but i got to use it for the last few months :)

Hopefully we get to see the LED screens in the 17", and then hopefully the 15" model will update in June (so i can have a MBP again soon).

GMT is still 6pm though - you're talking about BST...

But that still doesn't explain why it says 6pm GMT (which equals 7pm BST), and it saying 2hrs 15min until the event starts. Because that would mean 8pm....

Err, oops - forgot to tell it to start updating! :)

I think they should release Leopard half finished just to piss you all off. With the tag line 'There, ****ers, finish it yourself'

Brilliant

Still got over an hour to wait. Not expecting much at all, maybe a few changes to the top end stuff.

I hope we see Final Cut Extreme or whatever they call it, or just an updated version of Final Cut Pro / Studio.

Maybe Aperture.. that'd be nice, as it's one of my most used applications on the Mac.

Hope they come out with some updated MBP, as i'm in market for new laptop as the poor old ibook g3 is on i'ts last legs, was really hoping that Lepord would have been on the block, but well have to wait till Oct for that :(.

Just have to wait and see what comes, Should all be good, it's coming from Apple.

I'm hoping for some sort of "jump" onto Blu-Ray (or HD)...

although I'm certainly not expecting it for the obvious reasons.

Could it happen, or is Apple just focusing on losing customers to Cubase, Protools etc? Garageband isn't good enough for serious music production...:apple:

Damn right!!!

Where the hell is Logic Pro 8????

And I wouldn't mind the ease of use of the intruments screen from GB put into the super pro program.

I find it hard to believe that with a hour left, not one rumor site knows what will come out.:D

I gots it loaded, Willing and waiting for new displays! :)

I don't think we'll get much, but I guess we'll find out in 57 minutes!

I gotta be at work right when it starts! Hoping for updated MBP...not likely at all but I'm buying one on tuesday whether it changes or not. I won't even be home from work till its over!!

You'll all eat your words when they announce the immediate availability of this.
