Hello!

I've recently acquired this amp and I'm really fond of how it sounds hooked up to my Sonab OA-14 speakers and have been enjoying it so far. There's a problem though; every now and then the right channel cuts in and out and distorts. There's no regularity to it except for that it only happens when the amp has been on for a while playing music. Turning it off and on sometimes fixes it, but sometimes it persists for a little while and the it goes away again.

I'm curious as to what the problem might be, and wondering if anyone has any advice on what I could check for myself to try and narrow down what the problem might be, as well as things I could try myself before dragging this thing to a service center. The only idea I have so far is to open it up, clean it and get some contact cleaner in the pots.

Thank you.

It sounds like an "intermittent"--a connection that has a failing solder joint or similar. That would be easily fixable by an electrician and shouldn't cost too much. Good luck.
