I've just installed a Radeon HD 3870 card in my Mac Pro which has two DVI connectors, connected to two (different) 1900x1200 monitors via DVI.
In the display control panels though, one monitor is listed as 'VGA Monitor' as opposed to the actual name/model of the monitor like the previous nVidia 7300 card did (and as per the other monitor connected to the 3870). Does that mean the 3870 is seeing this one as a VGA monitor and sending an analog signal instead of a digital one?
Or is it just a glitch and it is a digital signal anyway? The display preferences lists 2560x1600 as the max resolution option available (and actually works), so am I safe to assume it is indeed a digital signal?
