Name in upper right corner?

I noticed on my friend's new macbook that she has her name in the upper right corner where the time/date/battery etc. are also shown. How can I get this on my computer? I have the 2008 aluminum macbook, but she has the newest 13.3 inch aluminum macbook pro. Does this only work for pro or can I also get this little feature? Just curious...

Turn on Fast User Switching.

Turn on fast user switching in the Accounts preference pane.

They have fast user switching enabled, so they have multiple accounts on the computer that they use regularly. It allows you to easily and quickly switch between the accounts, you can enable it by System Preferences>Accounts>Login Options
