so every time apple updates something they give it a new name like penry. what i want to know can someone give me a quick list of what computers have what names, because i have no idea.

The computers aren't assigned the names, but rather the intel processors they contain. These processors are officially known by other names such as Core 2 Duo or Xeon, but intel assigns each model a unique code-name, which I believe are the names in which you are referring.

Do you want a list of all Apple computers, or are you thinking of a specific line (e.g. MacBook or MacBook Pro)?

ya im thinkin of there "code names" so ya all of them if you can?

Off the top of my head here's what I think the OP wants:

Core Duo = Yonah (First generation Intel Macs; 32 bit CPUs)

Core 2 Duo = Merom (Second generation Intel Macs; 64 bit CPUs)
• Santa Rosa - updated/upgraded chipset (2007 models of MacBook/MacBook Pro)
• Penryn - latest addition/edition of Core 2 Duo. I don't know much about it.

Core 2 Extreme - available at CTO/BTO option in iMac 24"

Xeon - used in the Mac Pro (replacement of the Power Mac G5)

etc. etc.
