iPod Nano 16GB storage; is it actually 16GB

I'm considering a Nano 16GB, 7th Gen, and am wondering how much music can I load on? I presume the Nano operating program takes up some space, so hom much space is actually available on a new Nano 16GB?

It should be safe to estimate around 15.25-15.5 GB after the 1000 to 1024 byte conversion and the firmware. Take that with a grain of salt, as I don't have one and am taking a stab at the size of the firmware.

They are never the exact gb because that is how storage works.
