iPod nano 6g: sleep mode, etc...

Hi

i love the new design, but for since yesterday

i was wondering how to put the nano on sleep

the button has disappeared from the menu (i used to select it or to press the play button to put it on sleep)

the power button does not seem to put it on sleep

i tried to pause the music and press the button but it seems that the battery is still used


and also, a major issue is when the screen is off, i have to press the power button then tap on the screen twice before i can switch to the next song...
