I have had a feeling the iPod lineup is moving to a buttonless lineup.

The 8gb touch did not receive an update and they removed the 16gb. Could it be the nano will be the cheap touch next year?

No, it'll be the thing to buy if you don't want a Touch but do want a camera on your iPod.

Or will it be the thing to buy if you want 8gb or 16gb of storage, a crappier camera (i'm sure the touch will get a decent camera), and no wifi?

Touch PMPs is where the market is going. If they can take the buttons off of the shuffle why not the nano?

It makes sense with the shuffle because it has no screen, so therefore it is not easy to pick the song you want easily to begin with. Voice control for 16GB of music.

I'm not saying it will become screenless just saying they may take away the clickwheel and add multitouch to the screen. Making it the iPod nano touch in a way.

I feel it is highly possible look at how drastic changes they have made thus far from nano 2G, 3G, 4G, and now the 5G
