Since updating all my devices (Apple TV, HomePod, iPad etc) to iOS 18.4 my Nanoleaf Essentials Smart Bulbs are repeatedly switching on uncommanded.
They are the original version of Smart Bulb so running on Thread, they are in latest firmware.
Everything was fine previously.
I’ve tried switching them off and’s on again, no difference and am still seeing random switching on.

It’s a bit frustrating as it’s making my wife question why we have this stuff and the automation etc.

Mine have been working fine. They aren't turning on due to loss of power, are they? (Where they turn on after a power outage or by flipping a switch.) You can change that setting in the Nanoleaf app (Power Loss Recovery). My only other suggestion is to check your scenes, shortcuts, and automations to make sure none of those are turning them on unexpectedly.

No power cuts that I have observed and I have been working bat home since the upgrade. And to be fair they have been switching on sometimes after only 20-30 mins of me com manding them off. At most it has been an hour.
Have double checked scenes and automations, all is fine. And they were working fine prior to update.

In two cases they are setup to operated via a contact switch on a door, and on the third via specifc time of day events.

I'll have a look at the power loss recovery settings though, maybe there is a reset or query being sengt by a hub that is triggering something.
Thanks for the reply and help.

(Power Loss Recovery)
Ok, not sure why but that seems to have worked.
I enabled the power loss recovery and in the last 24 hours have not seen one come on randomly.
It is odd though as I’m definitely not having power cuts as no other device has reset and I’ve mostly been at home and would have noticed.

But it seems to have sorted it, so thanks very much for steering me right.
😀👍🤷🏽
