Hello,
I have Nanosaur2 on my ibook G4, 1,33GHz, 12" (with the ATI 9550, 32MB) and it runs good. Haven't played it for a while. Lately I tried to play it on an AGP G4 with Sonnet 2x1,8GHz and ATI 9200 (flashed AGP, with 128MB) and was actually aiming to see what one can get out of the game putting the settings to best.
I was just messing around with no thought of some sort of higher insight
But something strange I saw.
Interestingly with any resolution and quality setting, "ghostings" appeared. With "ghostings" I mean, I see trees and when I fly arround an face the sky I see vertical lines (parts) from the trees previously seen. (It is not real 3D, but this sort of picture where trees and such looks like an X (of two views crossed) from some perspective. So I understand I see the vertical thin edge of one of these "layers", when looking into the sky.
I thought Macs are more about CPU than Video Cards, so I would have guessed a Dual 1,8GHz should compensate for a slower video card and I mean, come on 2x1,8GHz vs 1x1,33GHz should not give any reason to consider, if the faster CPU would not compensate.
I find this very strange. Any ideas?
