Hi,
New here... - couldn't find anything recent on this (or any help anywhere!
) so I guess I a) missed a really obvious FAQ, b) it's really easy or c) no one cares.
But anyway - just for posterity!
I'm a new Mac user (MBPro 13") , but still wanted Napster. So, downloaded Parallels, installed my old Windows copy, installed Napster aaaand..nothing. It would hang on the sign up.
Eventually Napster spat out a message about firewall, so I fiddled and fiddled with those settings adding all exceptions etc. Still nothing. Note - I left the exceptions for Parallels software, and the virtual machine - no idea if this is good/dangerous/necessary or not...I put firewall and anti virus on the Windows as well.
Anyway here's what I think was the clincher:
In the Parellels menu bar (top of screen) I went:
DEVICES>>NETWORKADAPTER1>>CONFIGURE
Then selected BRIDGED ETHERNET, AIRPORT
And it worked, full Napster to Go with downloads etc.
Hope that's of some use to someone.
