Hi all,

I'm about to buy an external enclosure to collect drives from various devices.

Currently I'm using a WD MyBook World II, but it is extremely slow. Using iTunes and Aperture is a shame, spinning ball all time!

I'd like to buy a device to collect 2x 1TB, 1x 320GB and 1x 160GB drives.

Drobo 2gen looks like the best offer, and DroboFS too.

I want to know more information about throughput speeds so I won't get another snail-speeded device as the WD I currently have.

Is Ethernet faster than FW800 on Drobos?

I also gave a look at Promise devices, which seems to be good.

This one http://bit.ly/yyrwm looks great too!

Any suggestions?

Thanks a lot,
Alberto
