Looking for some advice for a NAS Device to serve all media to all computers/TV's in my house. I've been eye-balling offerings from Drobo and Synology (DS409 specifically) and want to know if anyone here has had success with either. The Drobo network module piece has terrible reviews specifically related to MB/s performance which has pushed it further down my list of possibles. 'Media' in this case also refers to HD content so read-performance is key.

Client devices: MacMini running Boxee/Plex, iMac's, work W7 laptops, and maybe devices such as WDLive or 'Boxee Box'.

Regards,

Rich
