NAS Drive mount on desktop

Hi All I have a D Link NAS drive (DNS 323), Raid 1 Mirrored, (2 drives in one enclosure) Ive been backing up to it for years, I need to download a iPhoto back up 30gig, its very very slow, left on for 2 weeks was still thinking about it, (Ethernet) So I bought a external HD enclosure, so I could put one of the drives in it & remove the data, but it wont mount, if anyone has some ideas I would appreciate it.
