A couple of months ago, I got myself a 2 TB Seagate GoFlex Home network drive. Last month got the MBA, and loved it so much ordered one for wife and got an iMac for my daughter. Had planned on the MBA for wife, but the imac was a late decision after I saw how she loved my Air.

After getting the iMac a few days ago, I see how easy it is to just attach a drive thru USB to the imac, and access it from laptops over the wifi. In Windows all kind of networking was a PITA, and that's why I had got the network drive.

So, is there any advantage at all in keeping the network drive? It died yesterday and has gone back to Seagate. If they send back a new replacement, should I sell it and just get a 2 TB USB drive?

Keep the network drive. It's easy to set up and a computer doesn't have to be on for it to be accessible.
