NAS itunes library and Apple TV

Has anyone tested if apple TV will read a itunes library that is on a shared network device such as a NAS drive?
 
If that nas is connected to your computer it will read it. Otherwise it will not.
 
So say if I have the WD My Book World Edition which has a itunes server built in. It wouldn't work, even though it's a itunes server???
 
NAS box iTunes servers only support music and not video. For video you need a full version of iTunes running on a computer.
