Hello All,

I am trying to put together a NAS media network in my apartment and have been hashing some ideas as to the best device for my needs.

I would like to have all my music, videos, and photos stored on the NAS and be able to have a Mac and PC both be able to access them, preferably at the same time if needed, and i would like to be able to watch, view, listen to all on via my PS3 and HDTV.....

I have been doing quite a bit of research and below are what i see as viable options for what I would like to do...

Buffalo Technology LinkStation Live Multimedia Storage Server 1TB

Maxtor Central Axis™ 1TB

READYNAS DUO 1TB

Drobo 2nd Gen with Droboshare (my fav for storage space, backup, and expansion)

Synology Disk Station DS-107 1TB

Now I know that they are all in different price ranges, but I was wondering If people have had experience (good or bad) with either.

My main point is that I want to see if Drobo is worth the G for what it offers, or if it is overkill for my needs....

Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated....
