NAS Shares problem

Since I bought my NAS drive of eBay I have been having a problem on my mac but not on my Windows system, The NAS has 3 shares.

If I connect to one of these shares, then setup a connection to a different one, the first one then dispears from the desktop and the finder.

any ideas what is causing this:confused:
