I'm looking a recommendation. I have both an Aluminum MacBook Pro and an my wife's iMac on the network at home. I'm looking to purchase either a ReadyNAS, Drobo or external RAID hard drive hooked up to the MacBook. Pro.

I'm looking for the storage device to act as a Time Machine backup only for the MacBook Pro. I want to share iTunes libraries between both Macs. I want redundant storage so if one drive fails, I do not lose any photos. I want it reliable and easy to use so my wife can seamlessly upload photos within really having to know what's going on?

Any thoughts and recommendations on what direction on should go in? I'm leaning toward the ReadyNAS, but can't decide if this is the way to go.

Thanks

there's a huge thread in the apple tv/htpc forum called "how do we store our out of control movie collections" (or something like that...). All of your storge answered are in there.
