I tried to use an external usb HDD with my airport extreme base sation and it wouldn't work. I later did some more research and found out that os x 10.5 had taken that feature away. I'm looking into setting up a NAS in RAID mode for my iTunes libraries and video's. Will the LAN ports work and connect wirelessly to my macbook or will it be the same like with my usb HDD? I'm looking at getting a 2bay setup less than $300 for just the enclosure. if anyone could also recommend a good one it would be greatly appreciated.

Computer specs if needed:
Macbook (black) 2.16 processor
4 GB ram
320 GB HDD (internal)
OS X Leopard
AirPort Extreme Base station
AirPort Express with AirTunes (used to stream music to receiver)
