Native 2560x1440 support over HDMI 1.4?

I know older versions of OSX only natively supported resolutions higher than 1080p if you were using displayport/thunderbolt. Does mavericks finally support 2560x1440 over HDMI 1.4?

Can somebody running a display at that resolution over HDMI chime in? You would need to have an HDMI 1.4 cable. Thanks.
