Native email app?

Hey everyone. I have been using the Gmail 2.0 app for a couple months now and it has been pretty good. I setup the native mail app through exchange just to change things up a bit but I noticed something that either has me confused or it doesn't support it. All of my mail is forwarded to my Gmail address. I have 2 email address (gmail, and personal through my isp). I setup up my gmail account to be able to send my mail through whichever account I choose but, in the native iphone mail app I cannot choose which email to send from. Is that by default or is there no option to change it?

If you have multiple accounts set up through the native Mail.app, you should have a "Default Account" setting. Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>scroll down and the last option under the mail settings should read "Default Account".
