Run this script to find some gorgeous nature photos that are stashed away on your Mac’s hard drive:

Find Nature Patterns (requires Mac OS X 10.4 or higher)

…part of the little-known “Nature Patterns” screen saver that silently snuck in to your hard drive via Mac OS X 10.4, they’re stunningly beautiful, high resolution JPEGs; and any or all of them would work really nicely as weblog header graphics, background elements, or just additional desktop backgrounds. Pretty!

Thanks! If other readers are having a problem running the AppleScript link, as I did, they could alternatively, select “Go To Folder…” from the Finder’s “Go” menu, or, while in the Finder, press Shift-Command-G and enter: /System/Library/Screen Savers/Nature Patterns.slideSaver/Contents/Resources

Then copy the now visible Nature .jpeg files

I don't see what's so exciting, it's just the pictures from the Nature screen saver.

Yeah thats true but you can never have enough backgrounds:D . I did this for the Beach screensaver's pictures a while ago, but sadly they are only 1024x768. I didn't think to look at the nature ones, but at least they are some nice pictures with higher quality and at 2560x1600, it's just too bad the beach ones aren't of the same quality because I think they are way nicer than the nature ones. The Forest screensaver jpgs are small ones too. :(

I read the title as - "Naked Pictures hidden in OS X"

Talk about anticlimax. :(

( :D )

Those would be rather natural, too.

I'm not sure why people consider these photographs hidden. If that's the case, there are many, many hidden items within Mac OS X.

Following Deep Thurrott is a bad idea, in any case. He's quite a mercenary.
