Anyone know of a navigation app that either has a long tone, or delay built into its HFP prompts?

Neither Apple Maps, nor Google Maps or Waze do.

The issue is that for some receivers, the first part of HFP prompts (audio navigation prompts that break into whatever you're listening to) get cut off because the receiver either delays, or doesn't switch audio sources quickly enough.

So instead of "In 200 feet, turn right on Main St." you only hear "...feet, turn right on Main St."

There needs to be a delay, adjustable ideally, between when the connection is initiated, and when the directions are given.

This can affect various receivers, both factory integrated, and aftermarket, old and new.

The workaround is to switch the receiver to BT audio, and choose a program source from the iPhone. iOS fades in directions gracefully this way, but it also eliminates the radio and other car-based program sources.
