when i delete a file, a dialog window pops up asking if i really want to delete it.

is there a way to use the keyboard to navigate to the "yes" button so that i can hit enter instead of using my mouse to click on it?

Go to the Finder Menu, Preferences and then select the Advanced tab. Then uncheck the "Show warning before emptying the Trash" box, and you won't have to deal with it.

sorry i should have been more specific.

i'm referring to deleting files that are from network shares. when you attempt to delete them, there will be a warning that ask for confirmation. that's the dialog window that i want to navigate using the keyboard.

in any case, there are several situations where i wish i knew how to navigate dialog windows, so if there's a way to do it, i'll like to know.

occurred to me to try tabbing, and it worked.

in fact, tabbing to the button allows you to use the spacebar as 'enter'. very convenient.
