I have just got an aw6 and one of my hopes was that I would be able to do turn-by-turn navigation on my watch while cycling. I can see that this is possible if I just use the routes provided by apple/google maps but often they provide stupid routes particularly for cycling. With apple maps there seems no way to modify a route once apple has chosen it. With google maps, on the desktop, I can adjust a route (to avoid tricky junctions or busy roads for example) but when I then come to send this route to my phone it tells me it is only going to send the un-modified map! Why?!

So, are there any ways of getting a mapped route, modified by me, into an app on my phone that can then do turn-by-turn navigation on my watch ? Or even a phone app that can do modifiable routing that works with a watch?

Even though you aren't looking for a workout app, take a look at "WorkOutDoors." It will show you a map of your cycling workout on your watch and I believe allow you to modify said route. I tagged the Developer and maybe he can give you some insight with this app and your need.

Take a look at the app "ETA." It is excellent and may be to your liking.

I use that app but, unless I am missing something, cannot see how this is relevant to the original request. The whole idea behind this particular app is to tell how long it’s going to take to get to your next destination using Apple, Google etc.
