I'm having an odd problem with iOS4 and Navigon. (Note: I didn't have Navigon prior to iOS4, so it's possible it's not directly iOS4 related).
What I'm seeing is that any time I run Navigon, my car stereo looses its external play/pause control for music. This happens both with a USB connection, and with Bluetooth. I can only fix the issue by rebooting the iPhone. Force-quitting the navigation app doesn't restore my external play/pause control.
Specifically:
1) Connect iPhone to stereo. (Can be by USB or Bluetooth)
2) Use play/pause button to start/pause music.
3) Start Navigon
4) Radio's play/pause control no longer works.
I should note that this is only the play/pause control. If I'm using a USB connection, the skip-forward and skip-back controls work just fine. My guess is that something about the navigation API is locking up the ability to pause the audio stream. This could be Apple's problem?
Any ideas?
