Navigon is now compatible with the Apple watch, you can now set your favourite destinations directly on the watch, and Navigon will automatically starts on the phone. You can also get info on distance, estimated time, and time of arrival.

I couldn't figure out how to set favorited for the watch. It just says I have to make favorites but I already have in navigon on iPhone. What am I missing ?

Found it, its under settings, general Widget / Apple Watch.
Not very obvious without digging around in the app.

I'm also not sure I understand the point or usefulness of this app other than just being able to say they support the Apple Watch.

Navigon does not automatically start on the iPhone. It just sends your selection to the app and then you have to pull out your iPhone and launch Navigon and then it prompts you if you want to go to the destination selected on the Apple Watch.

I wish the navigon watch app worked like the AW maps app when navigating by using the tactic engine for turn notifications.
