Navigon ipod/audio options

Anybody with Navigon 1.6 who can explain what the background audio (on/off) does and how it is related to "Ipod controlling" and "Ipod mode" options...?

Background Audio (on/off) is related to voice guidance during phone calls.

iPod Control (on/off) is related to iPod Mode (Music/Audiobook):
In Music mode (iPod Control=ON), the music will be turned down during voice guidance.
In Audiobook mode (iPod Control=ON), the iPod is paused during voice guidance and resumed after the voice guidance has finished.
