Navigon question

I saw navigon just dropped in price. Do they offer free updates? I see it is on 1.8 now. So would 2.0 be most likely free? I know it is somewhat speculation but I do not know if any of you had more insight than I

NAVIGON offers discount several times a year. As for free update to 2.0, who knows? But I suspect NAVIGON will continue the route of offering new major features as an in-app purchase.

That said, The UI could really use a cleanup. I hope the company will revise it and offer it for free like Magellan recently did.

BTW, Garmin is in negotiation to buy NAVIGON. If it goes through, the future of NAVIGON iOS app may be in doubt. Since NAVIGON's app is more popular, I hope Garmin will continue to improve it.

I did not know navigon may be bought out. I hope the app stays around and gets updated from Garmin if that's the case
