Will I be charged data roaming expenses if I use my Navigon app from the US to Canada?

For instance. If I'm driving from Seattle USA to Vancouver Canada and I cross the Canadian border and the service provider switches from AT&T to Rogers, will I incur data roaming charges for using the Navigon App.

If I'm in a week in Canada just using GPS with data roaming turned off, do I have to turn it on to be able to use the Navigon App in Canada? I thought that the GPS receiver is different than the phone or wireless receiver for internet.

Navigon GPS will work even if the cellular radio is turned off. The traffic application for Navigon does require a data connection and it even warns you that you will be responsible for roaming data charges, etc, if you have that turned on out of your normal coverage area.
