NBA League Pass for iPad

I followed the instructions from the NBA.com leaguepass page, clicked the Buy Now $39 ink downloaded the free courtside app.
Clicked on the settings gear, clicked on League Pass entered the nba.com access account i created and just said you now just associated your access account with league pass but cant actually purchase the $39 subscription.

Anyone have any luck? or am I missing something it seems quite inconvenient...

'doh...looks like I had to get the iPhone specific version and link it to my iPad version.
Kind of confusing.
Purchasing now and will see if it works out.

the iPhone version works for video, but when i close it and try to watch a game in the iPad specific app it wont play any video. is there a specific log-in since the League Pass was an In-App purchase of the iPhone version, how can I link them together and watch better quality video?
