NC blur looks bad on 6

Right now I'm comparing my new 6 to 5s, and what's with the blurs? On the 6 it looks odd because you can still see the home screen icons, but they just look hazy, you can still see definition. On the 5s, it's totally blurred. Is this just how it's supposed to be or is something wrong?

The icons are closer together on the 5s so the blurring is more blended together. Since the icons are spaced further apart on the 6, you are going to see the gaps between the icons making it not look as blurred, but they're both using the same blur amount.

Right, but it's not blurring the same amount. I can see details on the icons- the circle and the music icon on ITunes Store for example. It doesn't become totally blurry. And it's not this way in Spotlight or Control Center.
