Sometimes I use NCH's VideoPad Professional on the Mac, largely for working with .AVI and .WMV files from before I switched to Mac 13 years ago. But sometimes the application will just randomly open up by itself and disrupt what I am doing. I tried sending an email to NCH about this, but I haven't heard back. It also happens when I have the latest version installed (currently 12.11).
Anyone else have this problem?

Go to /Library/LaunchAgents/ and replace com.nchsoftware.videopadpaid.schedule.CacheDeleteAll.plist with a folder with the same name, including the .plist termination.

Go to /Library/LaunchAgents/ and replace com.nchsoftware.videopadpaid.schedule.CacheDeleteAll.plist with a folder with the same name, including the .plist termination.
That worked... for about two years. And then tonight, it just randomly opened again!
I looked things up further, and apparently this also happens with the Windows version. And since I don't have that .plist file anywhere anymore, I can't do that step!

Found it! It also helps that I updated VideoPad to the latest version.
And it's still randomly opening, and I can't find the .plist file anymore in the user library file. I decided I may as well open a project in VideoPad and leave it on in the background if it's going to be like this.

From Terminal:
Code:
rm ~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.nchsoftware.videopadpaid.schedule.CacheDeleteAll.plist
&
Code:
mkdir -p ~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.nchsoftware.videopadpaid.schedule.CacheDeleteAll.plist
The first command removes the plist, the second one creates a folder with the same name as the plist so that the app can not recreate the launch agent. Tested in Sequoia 15.3.1 with VideoPad 16.35.
