nearlyfreespeech.net web hosting or other web hosting?

does anyone have any experience with these guys :www.nearlyfreespeech.net?

their offer of $1 for 1Gb sounds too good to be true (at least to web hosting newbie like myself)

would love to hear if anyone does and how their service ranks up.
I want to start a little personal website with my own domain name and would be using it mostly for a blog and hosting some graphic design images.

eh just a quick look at their website makes them look a little amteurish. For all you know this is just a guy with a linux box in his closet. Personally I'd stear clear of them.
A company I used to work for did a bit of their .jsp hosting with a one man show and one time he simply shut off the server and dissapeared for a week. Yes we owed him money but he still was un-reachable. So your taking a chance I'd say.
