Does anyone remember when he publicly bashed the iPad in a speech? This is the height of Hippocracy. Seeing how he loves his blackberry so much you would have thought that he would have opted for a playbook.

What does Hippocrates have to do with changing your mind?
Oh . . . hypocrisy.
Playbook isn't ready for prime time. Unlike his decision to continue renewing the PATRIOT act, he's at least making one smart move.

He never bashed the iPad in a speech.

"And meanwhile, you're coming of age in a 24/7 media environment that bombards us with all kinds of content and exposes us to all kinds of arguments, some of which don't always rank that high on the truth meter. And with iPods and iPads and Xboxes and PlayStations — none of which I know how to work — information becomes a distraction, a diversion, a form of entertainment, rather than a tool of empowerment, rather than the means of emancipation. So all of this is not only putting pressure on you; it's putting new pressure on our country and on our democracy."

Hypocrisy would be either bashing tablets while owning a tablet, or bashing iPads while owning an iPad. He did neither.

You might want to dial back the smugness next time.

I have soooo many comments I want to make, but the political forum is not unlocked for me!

I find it funny that BHO was so attached to his Blackberry that he refused to give it up, but the NSA made him switch to a highly secure version so he could us eit & not compromise classified information. Unless Apple has a souped up secure version of the iPad, this would go against the NSA's initial wishes of the POTUS not having unsecured wireless devices.

Then again, maybe he just has it to play Angry Birds.

The president doesn't love his blackberry. He's stated That he wants a more exciting phone.

This is definitely a cool picture.

you're bashing the president and you can't even spell hypocrisy correctly?

I personally would prefer if he concentrated strictly on running the country and not on cool electronic gadgets.

I'm pretty sure the issues keeing Obama up at night are along the lines of:
"I wonder what I can do to help us out of the financial crisis?"
Or:
"Should I risk the lives of our Navy Seals, to take out Osama?"
And not:
"I wonder, if I pose with an iPad in hand, what will the FAndroid hoarde and Donald Trump make of it?"
:D

You can't be serious. You might as well say "I personally would prefer if he concentrated strictly on running the country and not going for a walk in the grass."

Nice picture find, OP.

Good lord. Give the guy a break. He gets his free time just like everyone else who holds a job in this country.

You are right. I know that for me, when things at home & work are so completely ****ed up, I can escape it all with a quick round of golf. My boss & wife understand that sometimes I just need a break. After all, those problems will still be there on Monday, so what's the rush?
