I want to fit a copy of the Snow Leopard Install DVD on a 4GB Flash drive.
Firstly, I know I could go out and buy a 8GB USB Flash drive and be done with it. But I'm stubborn and want to do so with the 4GB I have.
So, here's my procedure so far.
1. Convert DVD to read/writeable .dmg with Disk Utility.
2. Remove the 'Optional Installs' and 'Instructions' folders from the main window.
3. Reveal invisible files with TinkerTool.
Now here's the question,
In the install DVD under System/Installation/Packages, what files do I absolutely need to keep for a successful install? Printer drivers and applications are the obvious first choices to go.
Thanks
