Ripped a DVD I had with Handbrake. My son-in-law is in the movie and has a 10 second piece. Just want to take that clip out and send it to him.
Can this be done? Thanks.

Yes. Convert the video to DV with MPEGStreamClip, import the resulting DV file into iMovie, find the segment and set the in and out points and trim the rest of the video off. The export to whatever format you want to send your son-in-law...

That's the basic work flow. There's some details you'll have to learn, but it's not difficult.

Actually, MPEGStreamclip can trim the file as well. So there's no need to convert to DV. Just use MPEGStreamclip to trim the M4V file.
