I thought the 32GB iPad 3 would have been more than enough room when I bought it new back in March. Now with movies, photos, podcasts, music, and large apps I need a 64GB. What is the better decision?

Refurb iPad3 64GB wifi-$549
New iPad4 64GB wifi-$699

Is the A6X processor, lightning cable really worth an extra $150?

Some people claim 2x the performance on the 4. An improvement is obvious but if you think you may upgrade with the next one then get the 3. I upgrade every other year myself.

Do you have an iPhone 5, if so it may be beneficial just to consolidate cables. I upgraded from the 2 to the 4 and while the speedier SoC is noticeable I wouldn't say it was dramatically so. That may change if devs release apps targeted towards the A6x but other than a few games I think most devs would target the larger A5 audience. That being said I went with the 4.

I just got a 64gb 4 today and one of my reasons was because of wanting the same connector

The upgrades are worth an extra $150 IMHO. If you have the extra $ go for it. If not the iPad 3 is no slouch. I still love mine, but the dock connector is a PITA now that I have a mini and iPhone 5.

Well I went out today I bought an iPad 4 64GB. I think I made the right decision. One thing I have already noticed a huge difference over the iPad 3 is loading my pdf chemistry book. Zero lag when switching from different pages. With my iPad3 there was sometimes a 2-3 second load time.
