Need a better iPod app than xPod.

I've searched this site for a while but it's just too popular to read everything...

I've tried to use xPod to upload tunes from my iPod to my HD at work with no success... many of the songs are duplicted, so what I really want to do is "update" my library but xPod doesn't let me select which files I want to transfer( at least I can't figure out how to do it?!?).

I'm on a G4 running 10.3.9.

Anybody know of a solution??

Have you taken a look at iPod Agent from iPodSoft.com? I had to grab all my songs off my iPod due to a hard drive failure and it worked nicely.

It says that it costs $15, but I think that the download is not crippled, just a matter-of-trust if you want to pay.

It seemed worth it to me.

Try Senuti. It has an iTunes interface which looks really good.

While we're on this topic, I have a similar situation, is there anyway I can get them off my iPod into iTunes with all the play counts and ratings?

Senuti is sweet (and free!)

You can toggle it to show/hide songs that are already on your computer, makees things much easier...

Duff-Man says...another vote for Senuti...I use it for copying songs from my iPod to my Powerbook (which I keep at work) so I can listen to music while working and for those times when travelling and I don't want to carry both a laptop and iPod with me....oh yeah!
