Hi I need a really huge favour from someone who hopefully knows how to make a animate gif. I need a animation of an icon bouncing up and down in the dock. For example, when I use MSN Messenger and I get a new message or when one of my background programs have updated then it'll notify me by making the icon int he dock bounce up and down. I need something liek that if someone wouldn't mind me doing. its for educational purposes.

thanks in advance

Quite easy to make animated gifs. Look here

Bouncing dock icons aren't animated gifs. It's the OS that makes the icons bounce (if you're looking to get that effect).

Making the icon bounce when something happens is another thing. No idea.

It's always nice (and a lot cooler) if you make these things yourself. And then distribute as a freeware app ;) BounceOnEvent.app
That way you educate yourself - educational purposes right?

As for msn bouncing when you get a new message: use Adium :D
