Need a good Air to TV adapter

I bought a belking MD to HDMI adapter by belkin from BB but it only plays video and not sound. I'm looking for one that does both. I also have to option of doing MD to VGA if that would be a better option. I have a 37 in. LG lcd tvM

Also, what resolution to large tv owner use? How to you deal with the overreach issue?

I havent ever connected my MBA through HDMI, but something to keep in mind is that you should change your audio output to HDMI.

VGA i know for sure doesnt do sound.

Did you go to System Preferences -> Sound -> Output and select your LG TV (Type = HDMI) as the output?

And for the future, check Monoprice or Amazon for cables- much cheaper.

I always have it set to 1080p for my 50in. Works nicely.

I didn't do the whole sound option

As for me, 1080p looks nice but I can see my top menu bar on the screen

make sure that overscan is off, there's usually a 1:1 setting.
