I am having a difficult time getting up to speed with OSX, as i dont get to use it every day. Can anyone recommend a book that will tell me how it works, where to go to look at logs, help resolve application issues, and tell me the general behaviour of the OS?

Initially im asking as a user. i know the book i want when i decide to dip my fingers into coca. il give that book a look. thanks a mil.

No probs. It doesn't cover the upcoming Leopard release yet, but it'll get your feet wet. You sound like an experienced / comfortable computer user in general. By the time Leopard comes out, you can figure it out alongside the rest of us. :)
